Second teenager charged with m8rder over shooting of 14-year-old Nigerian boy in UK

A second teenager has been charged with m8rder over the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Woolwich, south-east London, United Kingdom.

The boy, 15, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Wednesday, May 6, and subsequently charged over Eghosa Ogbebor’s d3ath.

He appeared before Barkingside Youth Court on Thursday, May 7.

An investigation was launched after police were called on Thursday 2 April following reports of a shooting in Warwick Street.

Eghosa was found with serious injuries and d!ed at the scene.

Another teenager, 16, from Romford, was also charged with m8rder on Friday 10 April.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 April, where he was remanded in custody.

The Old Bailey previously heard Eghosa was shot in the chest and was also armed.

On Saturday, 4 April officers arrested a 19-year-old man in Woolwich on suspicion of murder.

A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, and an 18-year-old man, were arrested on Friday, 3 April in connection with Eghosa’s d3ath. They have also been bailed, pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.

A six-week trial has been scheduled for January.
