This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Emmanuel Odo, Clerk of the Senate House of Assembly.

The Senate is scheduled to resume plenary on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Emmanuel Odo, Clerk of the Senate House of Assembly.

Odo explained that he was acting on instructions from Senate President Godswill Akpabio to formally notify all lawmakers of the schedule.

He added that the session is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in the Senate Chamber, stating: “I am directed by His Excellency, The President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, to inform all distinguished Senators that the Senate will reconvene plenary session as follows; Date: Tuesday, 17th February, 2026.”

Odo also urged senators to rearrange their prior commitments to ensure full attendance:

“Consequently, all distinguished Senators are kindly requested to note and reschedule their engagements accordingly to enable them to attend as very crucial decisions will be taken on national issues, during the session.”

This notice follows a two-week break, which allowed lawmakers to concentrate on budget defence for various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
