Cyriel Dessers has expressed his determination to help Serie A strugglers, Cremonese maintains their top-flight status.
The 28-year-old netted the decisive goal in the club’s 1-0 win against Empoli on Friday.
It was Davide Ballardini’s side’s third victory of the season.
Cremonese remains in the 19th position on the table despite the victory.
Dessers insisted they will keep fighting to stay in the league.
“It was wonderful to win here, under our curve. It was a very difficult match, but we did a great job and I’m very happy. I must congratulate our defenders who did a great job,” Dessers told reporters.
“Scorer or not, it’s not the most important. I have one goal for the team and that is salvation.”
Cremonese will face Udinese in their next league game.
