Maduka Okoye has reflected on Udinese’s 2-0 away defeat to AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lorenzo Pellegrini gave Roma the lead from the penalty spot late in the first half.

Roma doubled their lead through Mehmet Zeki Çelik early in the second half.

Okoye said they can be proud of their performance despite the defeat.

“I’m very proud of the team. We put in a good performance at the Stadio Olimpico. It isn’t easy against a very good Roma side. I’m pleased because the display was good despite us not taking any points back home,” the Nigeria international told the club’s official website.

Udinese remain in 10th position on the table despite the defeat.
