Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has reflected on his suspension from football, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Okoye was handed a two-month suspension in July for his alleged involvement in a betting scandal.

The Nigeria international returned to action for Udinese against Cremonese two weeks ago.

The 26-year-old made his third appearance of the season for the Zebras in the 3-1 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday night.

Okoye confessed it was difficult for him to be without football.

“I’ve been out for a while, and it’s always difficult to be without football, but the goalkeeping coaches and the players have always helped me,” Okoye told the club’s official website.

“I feel good, I’m happy, I want to grow, and I learn every day.”
