British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has spoken openly about his short-lived engagement to Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy.
Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old revealed that differences in values and outlook contributed to their split.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” he said.
Taylor, who proposed to Cuppy in December 2022 after less than a month of dating, said there were no contracts or NDAs between them, and he walked away with only lessons learned.
“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!”
Reflecting further, he added:
“I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is.”
Cuppy and Ryan’s engagement made headlines in late 2022 but ended months later when fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
