South African singer, Tyla Laura Seethal, known as Tyla, has finally reacted to rumours that she is dating Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema.
Addressing the rumours in the latest episode of the We Need To Talk podcast, the ‘Water’ crooner said Rema is just a “friend.”
She clarified that the viral picture of them holding hands together that sparked the dating rumours was taken after she attended one the Afrobeats star’s concert.
“We [Rema and I] are just friends. I went to his show and he happened to hold my hand. And obviously, people will always interpret it the way they do.
“He is not my boyfriend. He’s not my man.”
DAILY POST recalls that Tyla recently mentioned Rema in an interview with Apple Music as the celebrity she would love to take to a prom date.
