Al Nassr forward, Sadio Mane, has opened up on Cristiano Ronaldo’s attitude to world and the Portuguese mentality.
He described the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner as a role model for every football player in the world.
Mane, who joined Ronaldo at Al Nassr from Liverpool two season ago, made the honest admission in an interview with Rio Ferdinand.
Mane moved to Saudi Pro League in 2023 and has formed a formidable partnership with Ronaldo in Al Nassr’s attack.
The Senegalese now has a first-hand experience on what it’s like to play and train alongside the Portugal international.
“Cristiano is a role model for every football player in the world. This is Cristiano, with his mentality, his passion for winning, and his high level of professionalism. I have never seen a player like him before,” he said.
“Before I knew him personally, I used to watch him on TV and read about him in the news, about his professionalism, mentality, and remarkable seriousness. And when I came here and met him, I found exactly the same thing.
“He’s unbelievable, he works hard every single day and still has the desire to win and to give his best, even at the age of 40. You can see that he is a complete athlete in every sense of the word.”
Mane and Ronaldo have now played 91 games together across all competitions for Al-Nassr.
They have combined to scored 16 goals and are expected to file out against Al-Khaleej this weekend.
