Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has warned against outsourcing one’s happiness.
In an Instagram post, the wife of Jason Njoku admonished the public to stop outsourcing their happiness, to love themselves, to never put the responsibility for happiness on someone else, and to always put themselves first.
She admonished mothers to love their children, but to love themselves too, and to learn to take breaks, rest, and be a little selfish.
Mary noted how life is short as she stressed that the people they think can’t live without them will go on.
“Stop outsourcing your happiness!
Love yourself.
Never put the responsibility for your happiness on someone else; you will always come last if you put them first.
If you’re a mother, love your children, but love yourself too.
It’s okay to take a break.
It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to be a little selfish sometimes.
Life is short.
You don’t know when it will end. One day, you could be gone. And you will be remembered for…, if you are remembered at all.
The people you think can’t live without you?
They will go on.
Some may even live better without you.
Love yourself.
Life is too short not to”.
