Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has now scored an impressive 17 international goals for Nigeria after scoring twice against Sierra Leone in Sunday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier.

Osimhen has now surpassed the likes of Samson Siasia, Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo on the Super Eagles’ all-time top scorer’s goal chart.

Recall that Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone 3-2 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia, on Sunday evening.

Osimhen’s brace and Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike ensured the Super Eagles won against Sierra Leone.

Osimhen’s two goals against Sierra Leone moved him above Ighalo, Siasia and Musa in the all-time top scorers’ chart.

Osimhen is, however, behind the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Yakubu Ayegeni, Ikechukwu Uche and Obafemi Martins.

Here is the current top 10:

1. Rashidi Yekini – 37 goals
2. Segun Odegbami – 23 goals
3. Yakubu Ayegbeni – 21 goals
4. Ikechukwu Uche – 19 goals
5. Obafemi Martins – 18 goals
6. Sunday Oyarekhua – 17 goals
7. Victor Osimhen – 17 goals
8. Samson Siasia – 16 goals
9. Odion Ighalo – 16 goals
10. Ahmed Musa – 16 goals
11. Julius Aghahowa – 14 goals
