The Lagos state Police command has arrested members of a syndicate who specialize in fraudulently using the brand name and NAFDAC number of another sachet water company to produce their sachet water inside Oluwole Market in the Apapa area of the state.
The suspects were arrested on July 19 following a tipoff. The police stormed the facility and found bags of sachet water and the machines used in producing the water.
Confirming the arrest to LIB, the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
Investigation is ongoing.
