Famous American singer, Taylor Swift has denied being jealous of her best friend and fellow pop star, Selena Gomez, for getting married before her.
Selena Gomez and producer Benny Blanco tied the knot late September, with Taylor Swift in attendance.
Rumours later emerged that Swift joked about Gomez beating her to the altar during her speech at the wedding.
Addressing the rumours during her recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor stated that she joked about how she and Gomez dressed years back but didn’t make the wedding about her.
She stressed that she “made a point to not mention anything about my engagement” during her speech.
She added the she was happy to witness Selena Gomez’s wedding.
“I did do some light teasing about the way we dressed in 2008, the year we met. It was the year of deep, deep V-neck.
“It was the year of colorful skinny jeans. I talked about how happy I am for her and just how beautiful it’s been to get to be a part of her life, but I did not make it about me,” Swift explained.
The ‘Cruel Summer’ crooner also revealed why she didn’t tell her friend, Ed Sheeran about her engagement to Travis Kelce.
According to her, the English singer doesn’t have a phone and could only be reached through email or FaceTime.
