American pop star Taylor swift has been named among the world’s richest people in 2024 by Forbes magazine.
The singer entered the Forbes World’s Billionaires List for the first time with $1.1 billion.
In the feature published on Tuesday, Forbes said the list was compiled using stock prices and exchange rates as of March 8, 2024.
Swift, 34, amassed an estimated $1.1 billion fortune based on earnings from her blockbuster Eras Tour, the value of her music catalogue and her real estate portfolio.
According to Forbes, Swift is the first musician to hit ten-figure status solely based on her songs and performances.
Swift began professional songwriting at age 14. She signed with Big Machine Records as a country singer in 2005, where she released six studio albums.
She is one of the world’s best-selling digital artists, with 200 million records sold worldwide.
