A former substitute teacher in Texas, United States of America, has been arrested alongside her boyfriend in connection with allegations involving a child. Madison Paige Jones, 30, was taken into custody in Midlothian on December 19 after police accused her of a series of disturbing offences. Officers from the Midlothian Police Department had been dispatched two days earlier to investigate a report of a possible s3xual act involving a minor.
Authorities say Jones now faces multiple charges, including aggravated ass@ult of a child, two counts of indecency with a child involving s3xual contact, and one count of possessing illegal material. She was booked into Ellis County Jail and is being held on a $90,000 bond. Police confirmed she had previously worked as a substitute teacher for the Midlothian Independent School District, though investigators stressed that none of the alleged offences occurred on school property or involved district students.
District records show Jones worked only four days as a substitute over the past year — one day at Heritage High School in November and three days at Baxter Elementary in late October and early November. After learning of the allegations, the district moved quickly to sever ties with her. In a letter to families, Midlothian ISD confirmed she was no longer employed and stated that its criminal‑history monitoring process had functioned as intended, with the district being notified promptly by state authorities.
Days after Jones’s arrest, police announced that a second suspect had been detained. Zackery Dondlinger, 37, was arrested on December 23 in Loving County in connection with the same investigation. He has been charged with s3xual performance by a child and is currently being held at the Winkler County Detention Center awaiting arraignment. Authorities confirmed that Jones and Dondlinger were in a dating relationship at the time of the alleged offences.
Police have not released further details about the nature of the accusations, and the investigation remains ongoing. Midlothian Police said multiple agencies collaborated to locate and arrest Dondlinger, and officials indicated that additional information may be made public as the case develops.
