Erik ten Hag has been fired as the manager of Bayer Leverkusen.

The former Bundesliga champions have taken the decision to dismiss the Dutchman after only two league matches.

Ten Hag has been sacked following a shocking collapse against Werder Bremen.

Leverkusen gave up on a 3-1 lead against a 10-man Bremen as they were held to a 3-3 draw last Saturday.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X on Monday: “Erik ten Hag has just been SACKED by Bayer Leverkusen.

“Decision made by the club’s hierarchy this morning and manager informed right now.”

Ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United last November, before he eventually landed the Leverkusen job this summer.
