Ondo State is facing an internal party crisis, Unlike the Edo state crisis where the governor is having issues with his godfather.

The Ondo State crisis is a battle between the governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy Mr Agboola Ajayi who is been rumoured to have defected to the opposition PDP.

The commissioner of police Bolaji Salami, in a video obtained by Naija News, was seen detaining the deputy governor for about four hours hindering him from leaving the statehouse.

The question in the lips of many Nigerian and well-wishers of the states is that, does the commissioner of Police have any constitutional right to cease a sitting deputy governor’s official car?

What happened in Ondo is the reason why many fear the restructuring of the police to state police.

Police under the control of the federal government are being used to detain a deputy governor because he defected to another party, imagine police under a State Government.

I’m the words of Patrick Obiahagbon, this is a show of political shenanigans.
