The team behind legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba has voiced fresh concerns about alleged internal disruptions impacting his career progression and international ambitions.
In an Instagram Live conversation with media personality Daddy Freeze, the management shared instances they believe have stalled significant projects aimed at broadening the artist’s global reach.
One team member emphasized the necessity of expanding 2Baba’s audience overseas, pointing out that many Nigerian performers relocate abroad to increase their earnings.
“You go out there, even if it’s just 100,000 people listening, the income is enough to sustain you,” he noted. He added, “2Baba needs to realise that this woman is harmful to his business.”
While acknowledging that personal choices are respected, the team stressed that their professional impact cannot be ignored.
When asked about the involvement of the woman’s family, they declined to comment, stating, “We don’t want to discuss family matters… there’s more to this than what appears online.”
One member recounted disturbing experiences within the singer’s home, admitting, “I’ve walked into their bedroom and seen things I shouldn’t have. Daddy Freeze, I need therapy after what I’ve witnessed.”
The team maintained that their mission has always been to elevate 2Baba to the status of globally recognised African artists.
Reflecting on their long-term vision, a member said, “From the start, my goal was for 2Baba to achieve greatness. While he may not be Burna Boy, he can reach the heights of Angélique Kidjo. Arena-level performances are still possible.”
They revealed that major international plans had already been arranged, including a UK tour, a broader African tour, stadium shows, and government-backed performances in at least five countries.
However, the team alleged that these projects were abruptly halted. “Then Natasha stepped in and said no. Everything was blocked. We couldn’t proceed,” the management claimed.
