The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has arrested three suspect over the m8rder of an officer, AbduRauf A. Shariff.

It was gathered that Shariff was st@bbed to d3ath by armed thugs while trying to prevent a criminal act.
The spokesperson of the command, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident in a statement on January 1, 2026 said the 29-year-old officer was on duty at the Court Road outpost in Kano when the attack occurred.
He said the armed hoodlums were carrying out criminal dastardly act of phone snatching and other crimes when the officer attached to the Court Road outpost tried to stopped.
“Unfortunately, the criminals were carrying weapons which they used in k!lling him after causing serious injuries on him,” the statement added.
He said their men who arrived at the scene arrested three of the criminals with their weapons.
SC Abdullahi noted that the corps is working in conjunction with the police to track down other fleeing suspects who participated in the attack.
The officer has since been buried according to Islamic rites following medical examination.
