President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed the Super Eagles after their strong 4-1 win against Gabon in the FIFA World Cup qualifying Africa Playoff on Thursday.

He said the result showed Nigeria’s spirit of courage, balance, and resilience.

The President described the team’s display as another reminder of football’s power to unite Nigerians at home and abroad.

Tinubu Applauds Team’s Commitment

Tinubu noted that the victory has lifted national morale and renewed confidence as the World Cup chase continues.

He praised the players, coaches, and technical crew for their dedication, adding that their efforts brought pride to the country.

He stated that the performance also reflects Nigeria’s large pool of football talent and the Super Eagles’ determination to regain their place among Africa’s top teams.

Nigerians’ Support Remains Key

The President thanked fans across the world for their loyalty and passion, saying their support inspires the Eagles, especially during tough international fixtures.

In his message to the squad, Tinubu encouraged the team to stay focused, remain disciplined, and build on the win as the qualifiers continue.

According to him, “This is the true Nigerian spirit of resilience against all odds. Do not stop until you secure a qualification. Super Eagles, keep soaring. The nation stands with you!”
