Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, has shared an emotional testimony about the struggles she once faced and how her faith in God pulled her through.
In a heartfelt post, the actress revealed that she endured intense emotional pain and depression, describing it as a period when she “lived in pain and breathed it.” According to her, depression became her closest companion, and she even attempted to end her life.
“I lived in pain, I breathed it. Depression was my closest companion and I attempted suicide. But God said, ‘Child, get up,’ and I did,” Tonto Dikeh wrote.
The actress, who has been open about her personal battles in the past, said her story is a reminder of God’s saving grace and the importance of holding on even in the darkest times. She encouraged anyone going through similar struggles to never give up hope, emphasizing that no pain lasts forever.
