Media personality and blogger Tosin Silverdam has weighed in on the circulating rumors about Nollywood stars Peggy Ovire and Fredrick Leonard’s marriage.
Speculation about the couple first emerged a few months ago when Peggy was spotted in photos without her wedding ring, prompting questions about the state of her relationship. Despite her efforts to dismiss the claims, many fans remain unconvinced.
In a recent video, Silverdam suggested that Peggy Ovire has left her marital home, confirming that the rumors might have some truth to them.
He further noted that he wasn’t shocked by the actress’s reported marital issues, referencing a recent incident involving her colleague, Taye Arimoro. According to Silverdam, tensions between Peggy and her husband reportedly stemmed from conflicts on a movie set involving Taye.
Taye had previously shared a video highlighting an injury he sustained on set and accused Peggy of being involved. The actress also responded to the claims, providing her perspective. Ultimately, the dispute led to Taye’s suspension from acting by the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
This development comes amid a series of high-profile marital issues in the Nigerian entertainment industry over the past year. Actress Regina Daniels and her husband, politician Ned Nwoko, reportedly separated after Daniels spoke out about domestic challenges. Singer 2Baba also ended his long-term marriage and later wed Natasha, while actor Yul Edochie and his wife have similarly parted ways.
