However, the deal will not be an easy one for Atletico, as Chelsea is expected to put a huge price tag on their captain.
Meanwhile, in another development, Real Madrid confirmed that Antonia Silva has joined the club’s women’s team.
The Brazilian international joined Real from Levante to strengthen the Madridista backline.
Before arriving in the Spanish league with Madrid CFF, her career started in her native Brazil.
She played for several teams in her home country, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2017.
