Napoli manager Antonio Conte has described Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as an excellent player.
Lukaku, who spent the 2023–24 season on loan at AS Roma, has been linked to reunite with Conte at Napoli.
Conte coached Lukaku during their time together at Inter Milan.
Napoli are reportedly keen to sign Lukaku as a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who is all set to leave the Serie A side this summer.
According to The Standard, Chelsea are willing to sell Lukaku for a fee of £38 million this summer.
Speaking about a potential reunion with Lukaku, Conte said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, “He’s an excellent player, top player. There’s nothing else to say. You always hope to have a player like Romelu on your side and not against you.”
