Manchester United midfielder, Donny van de Beek has given his verdict on the club’s incoming new goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Man United have agreed a £47 million deal with Inter Milan to sign Onana this summer.

Onana arrived at Man United’s training ground on Wednesday afternoon to finalise his move and is expected to join up with Erik ten Hag’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

Asked about Man United’s decision to sign Onana from Inter, Van de Beek, who played alongside with the Cameroonian international during their time at Ajax, was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “Yeah, he is a great goalkeeper.

“I played with him for many years, great personality, he is good with his feet, good on the line, my expectations are high for Andre.

“He is a great person as well, I still speak with him sometimes, he is a top-class goalie.”
