Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has provided the latest update on Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi.

Romano said that Messi is tempted by the possibility of returning to Barcelona as a free agent this summer.

However, the Argentina World Cup winner is still waiting for an official offer from Barcelona, according to Romano.

Messi will leave as a free agent at the end of the season after PSG manager Christophe Galtier confirmed on Thursday that he will leave the Ligue 1 champions in the summer when his contract expires.

On his YouTube channel, Romano stated that the 35-year-old would wait for a few more days to receive an official offer from Barcelona. He said: “I think Messi is going to wait a few days more for Barcelona before deciding.

“He is speaking with Xavi, he is speaking with Barcelona, he is tempted – but he can’t say/do much until he receives a proposal.”
