Barcelona coach, Xavi has confirmed that he has held talks with defender Jules Kounde after reports emerged earlier this week that the player had made a transfer request to leave Camp Nou.
Reports had emerged that Kounde had made a transfer request after being played out of position by Xavi.
But speaking after Barcelona’s 3-1 defeat at Real Valladolid, Xavi confirmed talks had been held as he was clear with Kounde.
“I spoke with Koundé and I was clear with him. I know there are a lot of stories — but the player left the meeting happy and same for me. There are no problems,” Xavi said at his post-match press conference.
“The conversation has been clear, no problem and no issues.”
