The assistant coach of the Cameroonian national team, Ashu Besong has claimed Bryan Mbeumo is already frustrated over the delay in his transfer to Manchester United.

According to him, Mbeumo’s club, Brentford are aware the player really wants to move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers after which they are now talking about bringing in Mbeumo.

The decision to sign Mbeumo followed the fact that the services of the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho are no longer needed at Old Trafford.

But Brentford appear to be making the transfer difficult, having turned back two bids from Manchester United, insisting on £65 million.

Besong said he had spoken with the player, as quoted by Metro:

“Yes, obviously he’s very frustrated with how long it’s taken. I spoke to him about a week ago and he is very calm with everything that is going on.

“But of course, he’s already told them he wants to go to United.”

Ruben Amorim’s side are expected to complete the deal in the coming weeks.
