Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has urged his old club to sign Spain’s Euro 2024 star Nico Williams this summer transfer window.

Sagna insisted that the Athletic Bilbao winger is ‘very good technically’, adding that he would fit the Gunners perfectly.

Williams has been linked with a host of top clubs in Europe, including Barcelona.

Speaking about the development, Sagna, a former Manchester City defender, told Paddy Power: “I would love to see Nico Williams at Arsenal. He represents the freshness at the club, he’s got the legs. He is very good technically; he’s good in between the lines and can find passes.

“He would fit Arsenal perfectly and if he comes to the Premier League, I would love to see him there. But I believe he will go to Barcelona and he will be reunited with the devil on the right wing [Lamine Yamal] and both of them are amazing.”
