Former Chelsea forward, Timo Werner’s new club has been revealed.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Werner will be joining Major League Soccer, MLS, side, San Jose Earthquakes this January transfer window.
Werner is leaving Leipzig and will sign at San Jose in the next days after a verbal agreement reached between both parties today.
The 29-year-old’s contract with San Jose Earthquakes will be a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, in another development, Chelsea announced on Monday that midfielder Oriane Jean-Francois has completed a permanent move to Aston Villa
Jean-Francois joined Chelsea in July 2024, after a two-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 24-year-old made her Blues debut against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on 8 October 2024.
“Everyone at Chelsea would like to wish Oriane the very best for the future as she begins a new chapter in her career,” Chelsea’s statement reads.
