Former Barcelona ace Gary Lineker has told Kylian Mbappe that he is too young to retire from playing football.

This follows speculation that Paris Saint-Germain have received an official world-record bid from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for the superstar

The young football prodigy has been on the radar of major European club sides ever since news broke that he wouldn’t be extending his deal at the French club.

However, Saudi side Al-Hilal wants to sign the player by all means, making PSG a staggering offer.

The renowned Match of the Day presenter took to Twitter to share his thoughts about what it means for Mbappe to move to the Saudi Pro League at the age of 24.

Mbappe’s future is hanging in the balance, and with numerous reports linking him to various clubs, Lineker expressed his opinion on the Al-Hilal offer: “He’s too young to semi-retire, surely?”

Lineker, who also played for Tottenham, made it clear that he viewed a move to the Saudi Pro League as a retirement plan.

Al-Hilal has tabled an offer exceeding £200 million for the talented forward (as confirmed by Sky Sports News), which PSG may accept.
