Troops of the Joint Task Force, Tundun Wada, have arrested a suspected notorious kidnapper in Tundun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State.

Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 3 Brigade, Kano, Capt. Babatunde Zubairu, Assistant disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, April 23, 2025.

According to the statement, the 55-year-old suspect was apprehended on April 20 during a security operation in Sumana village.

The suspect was paraded before the Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Tukur, who visited troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Falgore in Doguwa LGA to celebrate the Easter festival with them.

It noted that the commander commended the troops for their bravery and professionalism.

A cache of arms, ammunition, and other critical items were recovered during the operation. Items listed include one fabricated AK-47 rifle, one Den gun, nine rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition, and one woodland camouflage uniform.

Also recovered were one desert camouflage, one woodland camouflage vest, and a Bajaj motorcycle seat suspected to be used for concealing weapons.

Brig.-Gen. Tukur lauded the efforts of the troops, reaffirming the commitment of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to work with local authorities to restore peace across communities.Traditional cuisine
