Troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN have neutralised two armed bandits and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and other items during a raid in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The raid, which was based on credible intelligence, took place on Monday, May 12, 2025 at a suspected bandits’ hideout located at Teng Mountain/Forest.
The troops made contact with the criminals and overwhelmed them with superior firepower, leading to the neutralisation of two of the suspects.
Items recovered from the scene include one AK-47 rifle, one fabricated rifle that fires 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, one AK-47 magazine, seven rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, four mobile phones, two motorcycles, and N157,900 in cash.
The recovered weapons are currently in custody, while the mobile phones are being examined to aid in tracking and apprehending other fleeing members of the criminal gang.
