Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk has hinted Victor Osimhen could return early from injury, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Osimhen underwent surgery two weeks ago after sustaining an arm injury in Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool.

The powerful striker was initially expected to be sidelined until the end of the month.

After spending last week in the gym, the Nigeria international started work with the physiotherapist on Tuesday.

Buruk revealed that Osimhen could be included in the squad for the Yellow and Reds clash with Gençlerbirliği in two weeks.

“Osimhen has started running again. It will be difficult for him to return this weekend, but I think he could be included in the squad for the Gençlerbirliği match.

“He will play the following week if conditions are right,” Buruk said.

Galatasaray defeated Göztepe 3-1 on Wednesday night to boost their chances of winning a third consecutive league title.
