Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has insisted that he has to travel for national duty as Nigeria prepares to face Gabon in Thursday’s World Cup playoffs.

Osimhen spoke to reporters immediately after Galatasaray’s 1-0 defeat to Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

Recall that Dan Agyei scored the only goal of the encounter at Kocaeli Stadium to give the hosts the victory over Galatasaray.

After the game, Osimhen made it clear that his attention had already shifted from Galatasaray’s defeat to international duty.

“I have to travel. The game has happened, it has happened,” Osimhen said.

“I have moved on from that. Now I focus on my national team.”

The kick-off time for Nigeria vs Gabon is 5 p.m., Nigerian time.
