Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu returned to his club side, Trabzonspor with a bang as they won 2-1 against Kasımpasa on Friday.

Onuachu came on as a substitute to score his first goal for the team since coming back from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

He replaced Kazeem Olaigbe in the 46th minute and quickly scored a goal in the 51st minute, assisted by Christ Inao Oulaï.

This brings Onuachu’s total number of goals for the 2025-2026 season to 12.

The Nigerian forward was part of the Super Eagles team that earned a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

During the tournament, Onuachu scored a goal for the national team, helping Nigeria reach the podium.

When he came back to Trabzonspor, he quickly helped the team in their current Süper Lig season.

Kasımpaşa equalised in the 61st minute when Fousseni Diabaté scored after receiving a through ball from Irfan Can Kahveci during a quick attack.

The game stayed tied for more than 20 minutes until Oleksandr Zubkov scored the important goal for Trabzonspor in the 84th minute.

Zubkov scored a goal from the left side of the box, with help from Anthony Nwakaeme, which helped the home team win 2-1.
