Former Trabzonspor coach, Yılmaz Vural, has hit hard at Argentine striker, Mauro Icard, saying he can never measure up to the standard of Victor Osimhen.

He said the Argentine forward lacks the ability to make a real impact at Galatasaray.

Icardi was the main man at the Turkish capital city club before the arrival of the Nigerian attacker.

But the Argentine has watched his role diminish.

He has only started five league games this season but has returned to the spotlight following Osimhen’s struggles with injuries.

The 32-year-old Icardi lacks the endurance and physical presence required of a top striker against Osimhen’s explosive pace, physical strength and relentless work rate.

Vural believes that the Argentine striker is not a match, neither can he be a formidable replacement for Osimhen.

“Icardi will never be an Osimhen, he will never be able to contribute as much,” Vural said on the SkySports Youtube channel, via habersarikirmizi.

“He doesn’t have the physical strength he used to have. It’s not enough for a team with such ambitious goals like Galatasaray.”

Osimhen has scored nine goals for Galatasaray in all competitions so far this season.
