Two arrested for allegedly stealing government diesel in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti state has arrested two persons for allegedly stealing diesel from a government facility.

A statement from the command said on June 20, the Command Rapid Response Squad (RRS), while on patrol along NTA Road, Ado Ekiti, arrested one Joseph Danjuma with a 25litres jerrycan containing diesel suspected to have been stolen.

The command said during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have stolen the diesel from the government generator plant located along NTA road powering the street lights in Ado metropolis.

The suspect confessed to have been stealing diesel from the generator plant and mentioned one Bankole Idowu who was subsequently arrested as his partner in the crime.

The command said the two(2) suspects will be arraigned accordingly.
