Two people have been k!lled in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos after suspected rival cult groups clashed on Sunday, September 7.

This latest attack occurred less than a week after three people were k!lled during a masquerade festival in the same area, which police later attributed to cult violence.

According to Naija Confra, the violent incident on Sunday intensified when a young man nicknamed Pablo was k!lled by a rival group at Oribanwa Road in the Lakowe area of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State  amid an ongoing clash between the two groups in that area.

Pablo was reportedly k!lled around 3 p.m., in the presence of his father.

He was mach£ted in the face, and his hand was cut off during the attack as seen in photos shared by the publication.

A photo shared on Telegram by Naija Confra shows one of the victims lying on the floor beside a fallen motorcycle in a pool of his blood. The deceased had machete cuts on his face and hand.

Also, a 19-second video, shared on Telegram by Naija Confra showed one of the victims lying lifeless in the back of a white moving police van

A resident said, “We have seen several kinds of k!llings in this area.

“Just after the first k!lling on Sunday, another person was k!lled. His hand was cut off by the cultists.”

Residents are calling on authorities to intensify security in the area to avoid reprisal attacks.
