Two students of the Government Secondary School (GSS) in Yangoji, Kwali Area of the FCT, were crushed to d3ath by a speeding car.

A witness told Daily Trust on Friday, March 27, that the incident happened on Tuesday around 2:54 pm when a Toyota Lexus Jeep with registration number PJHR 943, traveling at high speed, suddenly ran into the two students who were on their way home after school dismissal.

The witness stated that the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the students, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.

Two other students also sustained injuries in the incident.

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the accident.

He stated that the driver veered off the road while speeding and struck the students as they were trekking home.

He confirmed that the bodies of the two deceased students were handed over to their relatives for burial, while the two injured students were taken to Kwali General Hospital for treatment.

The FRSC official added that the driver and the vehicle have been handed over to the Kwali Police Division for further investigation.
