The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has celebrated the Flying Eagles of Nigeria after the team’s 2-1 victory against Dominican Republic.

The two-time finalists fought back from a goal down to beat the debutants in their opening game at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Sunday.

CAF took to the social media to heap plaudits on Ladan Bosso’s boys who won their opening day fixture at the U-20 World Cup for the fifth time in a row.

“Congratulations to Nigeria on their win in their U-20 World Cup opening game,” CAF wrote on Twitter.

“Another big night on the world stage for the Flying Eagles.”🙌

The Flying Eagles will take on Italy in their next game on Wednesday at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas, Mendoza.
