Ajax manager, John Heitinga has named Chelsea among the ‘better teams’ in the UEFA Champions League.
Heitinga spoke after his side were thrashed 5-1 by the Blues in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
Recall that goals from Marc Guiu, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez,
Estêvão and Tyrique George gave the Premier League west London club the victory against Ajax.
“This is one of the better teams, not only in the Premier League but I think also in the Champions League,” Heitinga said at his post-match interview.
“It was a tough one for us to take, but it is how it is.
“The game plan was working, and I think it was hard for them to break the lines.
“We even had one offensive transition with Mika Godts. It was stable.”
Ajax’s next game is against Twente in the Eredivisie on Sunday.
