Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed the two things his team lacked during their Champions League quarter-final tie against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Ancelotti said that Real Madrid lacked energy and clarity against Chelsea in the Champions League first-leg tie.

The Italian watched as two goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio gave Los Blancos a first-leg advantage against the Blues.

Speaking during his post-match interview, Ancelotti said, “You might think we could have pressed more against 10, but when it was eleven against eleven, we fought a lot and in the end, I think we lacked energy and clarity. We have to come away satisfied, but there is another 90 minutes to go.

“We have to repeat today’s game at Stamford Bridge because we know Chelsea will give their best shot next week.”
