Former Manchester City and Bayern Munich midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has named the two signings Chelsea needs to win the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League.
Recall that Chelsea finished in fourth position in the Premier League last season and also didn’t play in the Champions League.
The Blues then signed several players, including the likes of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, in the summer transfer window.
However, Hargreaves feels Chelsea still need a ‘world-class goalkeeper’ and an ‘experienced centre-back’ for them to win any major trophy this season.
“If Chelsea want to go and win the Premier League and the Champions League, they need a world-class keeper and an experienced centre-back,” Hargreaves told TNT Sports.
“For the centre-back, a player like [PSG and Brazil legend] Marquinhos to help these young players along the way.”
This is coming ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Liverpool on Saturday.
