Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has said Victor Osimhen is in contention to face Liverpool in Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool.
Osimhen featured as a substitute in Galatasaray’s 1-0 win at Alanyaspor on Friday.
The 26-year-old missed Galatasaray’s previous three outings due to injury.
Buruk said after the clash with Alanyaspor that the Nigeria international is not yet in his best physical condition.
The gaffer stated that the striker will be further assessed before the game at the RAMS Park.
“Victor continued training. We will see how he was in the last training session today. The fact that he played 10 minutes in the last match and continued training with us is a positive thing for us. We will look at his condition today and make a decision,” Buruk was quoted by the club’s official website.
Galatasaray will be looking to bounce back from their matchday one defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
