Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has told Max Dowman that he has to move on from his heroics against Everton, as the game is now “irrelevant”.
Dowman came on as a substitute and became the youngest player ever to score in the Premier League, helping Arsenal win 2-0.
At just 16 years old, he helped set up the first goal for Viktor Gyokeres and then ran the whole length of the field to score the second goal.
Arteta has suggested that Dowman might get more chances to play for the first team.
“He did something very special in a rare moment,” Arteta said.
“What he did a few days ago is not important anymore. It’s about what happens next.
