Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has named the team and manager that have posed the biggest challenge to his career.

Guardiola opened up when he was asked by journalists that it appears that Real Madrid is his greatest obstacle in his career after the Spanish giants eliminated City from the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Premier League side played the game at the Etihad with 10 men after Bernardo Silva was sent off in the early minutes of the game for saving a goal-bound Vinicius Junior’s shot with his elbow.

he game ended 5-1 on aggregate, with City having lost 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last week.

Vinicius Jr scored from the spot to give Los Blancos the lead.

And although Erling Haaland made it 1-1, Vinicius scored again to ensure Madrid won 5-1 on aggregate.

Guardiola, speaking to Amazon Prime, said, “Real Madrid have not been my biggest challenge. My biggest challenge have been Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

“Maybe you’re in Spain [journalists] and you didn’t notice…You have no idea how it was like to face Liverpool in those games, a great learning experience”.

Manchester City will now focus on their Carabao Cup final against Arsenal and also chasing Mikel Arteta’s side in the race for the Premier League title.
