Real Madrid have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool on Tuesday.

The Los Blancos disclosed in a post via their website on Monday that their player Franco Mastantuono has been diagnosed with pubalgia ahead of the Liverpool game.

Mastantuono’s recovery will be monitored as he seeks to regain full match fitness in the coming days.

The 18-year-old Argentina international featured in Real Madrid’s victory against Valencia in the LaLiga at the weekend.

“Following tests carried out today on Franco Mastantuono by Real Madrid’s medical department, the player has been diagnosed with pubalgia. His recovery will be monitored,” Real Madrid’s statement read.

Real Madrid head to the game after beating Valencia 4-0 in the LaLiga in their last game.

Liverpool’s versus Real Madrid game is 9 pm, Nigerian time, at Anfield.
