Real Madrid midfielder, Aurélien Tchouaméni, has been handed a one-match suspension in the UEFA Champions League, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
This means the France international will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final second leg with Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena in Germany next week.
The absence of Tchouaméni came after he received a yellow card during Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final first leg 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Tuesday.
With this card, the 26-year-old will be suspended for the second leg due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Real Madrid will miss Tchouaméni’s services in the decisive match that will determine the qualifier for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Tchouaméni is considered an important player in Real Madrid’s midfield this season.
This makes his absence a blow to the Los Blancos before the return match against the Bundesliga giants.
