Former Manchester City defender, Joleon Lescott has named Bayern Munich as the favourite to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
Lescott spoke after Bayern Munich recently defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 on Wednesday.
“You can’t look past Bayern Munich and what Vinny [Vincent Kompany] is doing there,” Lescott said of Bayern via Metro UK.
You have got to look at them being the favourites.”
Bayern Munich last won the Champions League in 2020.
Last season, they were eliminated in the knockout stage.
This season, the Bundesliga champions are currently on top of the Champions League league phase group stage with 12 points after four games.
