Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has given reasons that Paris Saint-Germain won’t be happy to play against the Reds in the Champions League quarter-final stage.
Liverpool will face the French Ligue 1 champions next month after overcoming Galatasaray in the Round of 16 on Wednesday, while PSG eliminated Chelsea from the competition on Tuesday.
Speaking about Liverpool’s upcoming fixture with PSG, Slot reminded the Parisians that the Anfield club was the only team to have truly tested Luis Enrique’s side to its breaking point last season.
“Last season, when we lost against PSG, we were completely outplayed away from home,” Slot told TNT Sports.
“But I think after seeing our performance tonight against Galatasaray, they won’t be that happy to be playing against us, especially because last season we were the only team that could bring them to extra-time and penalties.”
